Mum suffers from such unimaginable pain she is unable to even hug her own son

A woman who has experienced years of unexplained pelvic pain has shared how she has been left unable to hug her son.

Linly Litta-Clayton, 43, was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis on her bowel back in 2019 which has left her in crippling pain, Grimsby Live reports.

The condition causes the Malawi-born woman to feel sick, constipated and bloated on a daily basis because tissue around her abdomen has grown to the equivalent size of three oranges.

Linly, who now lives in Scunthorpe, will require complex surgery in order to alleviate the pain but she has been on a waiting list since October 2020.

That is why she has started a GoFundMe page to raise £10,000 because she can't 'take any more pain' and without treatment, she could face bowel and kidney failure.

She said: "I have lived with constant pain in my pelvis and abdomen since 2017.

"When I went to the doctors, they first said it could be irritable bowel syndrome or caused by a poor diet.

"An MRI at Grimsby, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital showed that I have deep infiltrated endometriosis with dense adhesions between the left uterine wall and pelvic side wall and left ovary.

"I also have adhesions in my abdomen which leave me in constant pain along with heavy periods.

"It's like a pulling and twisting pain in my waist. My uterus has grown three times the size of normal woman's uterus because of the endometriosis.

"I've been told by the doctors that it's like having three big oranges pressing into my inside. It's been horrible and I can't take any more."

Living with the condition has affected Linly to the point where she can't even hug her son without being in pain.

She describes how the condition has impacted her work and financial situation.

She said: "I can't even hug my nine-year-old son. It's not that I don't want to, but the pain is so excruciatingly that it hurts to hug him.

"I have to turn him away which is heartbreaking for a mother to do as he's my son who I love.

"My condition has affected my ability to work. I've had three jobs since 2019 because of the pain.

"I work 16 hours a week as a care worker because the pain is that bad. It has placed our family in a tight financial situation and I wish I could do more.

"But the pain has become so bad and I can't take anymore of this as it has affected my work and family life."

Linley has been on a waiting list at St Mary's Women's and Children's Hospital in Manchester since October 2020.

She has now set up a Go Fund Me page to help her get the vital surgery she needs.

She said: "It's really hard to be going through this pain. I just feel that every day that goes on, the endometriosis gets worse.

"I will need to go through a two stage surgery to help alleviate the pain which will cost £10,000.

"It will involve having surgery on my bowels to remove the endometriosis and surgery to help protect my uterus.

"I want to have a total hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) and excision surgery to remove all the endometriosis on my bowels.

"Because of how complex my condition is, there are only a handful of teams in the UK who are trained and experienced enough to successfully carry out this surgery.

"I have put so much of my life on hold and enough is enough."

She says that having the surgery will make a big difference in her life.

It could even allow her to feel comfortable to hug her son without any pain or discomfort.

She said: "It will allow me to have a better quality of life.

"I will be able to hug my son without the pain. I will have that family life back.

"I really don't know how my husband has put up with me for so long. He's been really supportive and my rock.

"And I will be able to have that financial stability again to work a lot more than I do.

"I want to do it for myself, but I also want to do it for them."
