Warning! SPOILERS for All of Us Are Dead.

Netflix's latest Korean drama/horror series All of Us Are Dead picked off Hyosan High School students one-by-one in its first season - here is everyone who survived and will most likely appear for season 2. The television series has been sitting in its Netflix Top Ten spot since its release on January 28, 2022. All of Us Are Dead was inspired by the webtoon comic of the same name by Joo Dong-Geun, published back in 2009. The brutally bloody zombie apocalypse series has had moderate success among critics but has turned out to be an audience favorite in its short run thus far.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

After science teacher Mr. Lee (Byeong-Cheol Kim) seeks revenge on the school's flagrant disregard for their bullying problem, he attempts to make a virus that he believes will make his targeted son stronger. What he inadvertently creates is a zombie virus similar to The Walking Dead, but with the ability to create half-zombie hybrids that are gifted with special powers. Student Kim Hyun-Joo gets bitten by one of Mr. Lee's test hamsters and becomes the first zombified student at Hyosan High School, and she quickly spreads the virus amongst students and the hospital that she's taken to. Many students end up trapped in the school on the rooftop, a classroom, and a bathroom. Viewers quickly realize that no character is truly safe when audience favorites get eaten without warning.

All of Us Are Dead isn't the first K-drama/horror series that sends viewers on an emotional rollercoaster as their best characters are spontaneously killed off. The smash-hit Squid Game has a similar atmosphere to All of Us Are Dead. As of late Netflix has released many K-dramas, and their popularity is only growing among international audiences. The television series hasn't confirmed a second season yet, but with its popularity and the cliff-hanger ending there's a high probability that another season will be greenlit sometime soon. Here are Hyosan High's sole survivors, how they survived, and what their stories could be in All of Us Are Dead season 2.

Choi Nam-Ra

Choi Nam-Ra (Cho Yi-Hyun) is the cold Class 2-5 president for the ensemble casts' class and Lee Su-Hyeok's (Park Solomon) love interest. She is first bitten in episode 6 while trying to fight off zombie-hybrid and bully Gwi-Nam (Yoo In-Su) from killing Su-Hyeok, as he has a personal vendetta against him. Though Choi Nam-Ra is bitten in All of Us Are Dead, she surprisingly survives and becomes a powerful zombie hybrid herself. She struggles with her growing urge to consume her friends but manages to fight it off at a crucial moment. Multiple students would've died at Gwi-Nam's hands, if not for Nam-Ra's newfound powers. In the end, she isolates herself on the school rooftop after the bulk of the carnage has subsided. When the survivors find her she gives a foreboding warning that the zombies have returned. In season 2, Nam-Ra will probably struggle even more with her half-zombified urges. On the other hand, she could also gain more powers or use her studious nature to look for a cure.

Jang Ha-Ri

Actress Ha Seung-Ri has an impressive list of popular K-drama's to her name, she brings her A-game to portray the archery aficionado Jang Ha-Ri. Ha-Ri is one of the students trapped with the bathroom group, and she uses her bowman skills to fight off the zombie horde with accuracy and style. The All of Us Are Dead character didn't get a ton of screen time action in the duration of the series. However, she does manage to survive thanks to her impressive archery skills. She leads her group of survivors to safety through the woods. Ha-Ri does experience some loss in the form of her brother Wu-Jin's death. In season 2, audiences will probably get to enjoy more of her impeccable bowmanship.

Lee Su-Hyeok

Audiences who enjoyed Park Solomon's performance as the former-bully-turned-ally Lee Su-Hyeok in All of Us Are Dead can expect his return to the screen in the upcoming Disney+ movie Third Person Revenge. The most adept fighter out of the bunch, Su-Hyeok ends up falling in love with Nam-Ra and even admits that he'd sacrifice himself to save her. He ends up being a particularly useful teammate when the bloodbath gets worse around the middle of the season. He's saved by Cheong-San (Yoon Chan-Yung) in episode 6 and is eventually saved again by the military rescue team in the final episode of the season. In season 2, viewers can assume that his relationship with his half-zombified girlfriend Nam-Ra will be explored in greater depth.

Nam On-Jo

Nam On-Jo (Park Ji-Hoo) is one of the main protagonists introduced early in the series. She experiences great loss throughout All of Us Are Dead in the form of her best friend/love interest/neighbor Cheong-San's tragic death in episode 11 after he attempts to fight off Gwi-Nam. As well, she loses her father Nam So-Ju (Jeon Bae-Soo) in a side-plot where he attempts to rescue his daughter. On-Jo experiences the least amount of dents and scratches in the series and helps the group out by using her survival skills. She's rescued by the military group in the end and she's also the one who sees the campfire on top of the school that urges the group to visit Nam-Ra before the class president's final warning.

Park Mi-Jin

Fellow archery team member and eventual friend of Ha-Ri in All of Us Are Dead, Park Mi-Jin (Lee Eun-Saem) survives with the help of the bathroom students. While she isn't initially the warmest of the group, after experiencing the many hardships that come with fighting off the zombie apocalypse at Hyosan High she befriends her classmates. Like the rest of the survivors, she is saved by the military group and taken to the quarantine camps. She joins the students after the initial quarantine period, as they visit Nam-Ra back at the school.

Seo Hyo-Ryung

Seo Hyo-Ryung (Kim Bo-Yun) is one of the classroom students who manage to make it out of Hyosan High alive. While she definitely has the most negative voice of the group, her penchant for losing hope obviously doesn't affect her will to carry on. She even chooses to break out of the quarantine camp along with On-Jo to investigate the campfire on top of the school. Hopefully, in season 2, Hyo-Ryung will become more hopeful based on her survival and become a better teammate to lean on in times of trouble.

Yang Dae-Su

Comic relief Yang Dae-Su (Lim Jae-Hyuk) is the final survivor in the Netflix K-drama series All of Us Are Dead. His formidable form is crucial in the groups' attempts to fight off the zombie horde. Though he sustains a leg injury during the military bombing of Hyosan High, he makes it out alive and is rescued by the military group and put into the quarantine camps. Dae-Su's size is often the subject of bullying - however, he doesn't let this get in his way as he shows growing bravery in his character arc. These are the main characters and sole survivors of All of Us Are Dead, they will undoubtedly return if Netflix decides to give the show a second season.
