As the county’s only permanent beer garden, it’s important to live up to the reputation of having a great beer selection. Customer feedback to the beer selection is a huge help to making sure the list never gets stale.
Co-owner Ken Michel personally selects the beer rotation each week, choosing from hundreds of beers from breweries across the state. It’s a fine balance between classics such as Spotted Cow, Lakefront IPA and Happy Place to the newest beers from Racine Brewing, Mobcraft and others.
The best part of choosing the beer list is the sampling.
“It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. As they say; life is too short to drink bad beer,” said Michel.

What makes your business the best in Racine County?
We love washing cars.
When we created the Rocket Wash concept, we spent a lot of time looking across the country for the best way to wash cars. We learned that time, wash quality and price were the big three factors that prevented most people from getting their cars washed on a regular basis.
The Rocket Wash concept was designed specifically to address those three issues. Rocket Wash is fast. From entry to exit, you’re done in two minutes, with a safe, quality wash all for $6.
We made a big investment in the latest and greatest in car washing technology and equipment. The other big change we brought to Racine was the concept of Unlimited Club memberships. Our packages start at just $19.99 monthly. Most of our customers enjoy getting their car washed whenever they want for one low monthly price.
The other big advantage to being a club member is the time savings. Club members get to skip the line and use the Unlimited Club entry lane.
The most import decision we made was bringing service back to the industry. Our people really do love what they do. And, they are really good at it.

Being able to practice both styles of medicine is rewarding. I continue to teach medical students and physician assistant students daily at the hospital and have done so for 25 years.
Teaching keeps my approach to medicine fresh and "on my toes." I continue to write books, and just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic finished "Famous People and the Germs that Harmed Them — and a Look Back at the Infections that have Altered History."
I have practiced medicine in Racine for more than 30 years.

Dog safety is and always has been our number one priority, and we are also as transparent as can be about how all the dogs are doing.
Since opening, we have tried our best to be involved in the community; from collecting items for Santa in a Shoebox — pet edition, to hosting a donation drive for Hurricane Harvey relief, fostering and holiday photo shoot fundraisers for local dog rescue.
Most recently, we had a foam party, for which we did a fundraiser for HOPE Safehouse Inc., a local dog and cat rescue. The "Woof Fam" raised over $4,000, and we were able to have a ton of four-legged friends come to The Woof and play in foam.

Second place: Victory Lane Car Wash, 5310 Washington Ave., Racine
Third place: Royal Car Care, 3829 Douglas Ave., Racine

I have a general internal medicine practice as well as a specialty practice in infectious diseases. Both of them keep me very busy, but in different ways.

We take pride in doing quality work and cleanup, so every customer is satisfied.
We started our business in 1992 and have grown through referrals and repeat business. From the first contact with our company through the completion of the job, our staff is personable, responds quickly, pays attention to detail and goes out of their way to be helpful.

We handle emergency storm work promptly to minimize disruption to our customers' lives and property.
Tight areas, wires, hazardous trees and lot clearing are no problem for our very experienced staff. We work with homeowners, businesses, municipalities and nonprofit organizations.
We are grateful for another busy season and appreciate our customers’ loyalty, dedication and patience. Affordable Tree Care’s services are in high demand. There may be a little wait at times yet ask around we are definitely worth it.
